As of August 20, 2010 Dr. Gabriel Martin del Campo has been designated by the FAA as an Aviation Medical Examiner, or AME.

He can perform Class II and III Medical Exams and issue the FAA Medical Certificate on the same day of your examination.

Dr. Gabriel Martin del Campo is available in our Temecula office to perform physicals for pilots in need of class II and III Medical Certificates. His interest in Aviation and Aerospace Medicine has led to becoming a student pilot himself and subsequently attending courses in Aviation and Aerospace Medicine to broaden his knowledge in the field and better serve the pilots in the community.

Before your appointment with Dr. Del Campo, you will be able to fill out your form 8500-8 online by logging into the FAA MedXpress website at www.medxpress.faa.gov. It’s very simple and self-explanatory. By doing this before your appointment Dr. Del Campo will be ready to access your file and have all the necessary information to make your visit run smoothly and efficiently.

Here are some tips to prepare for your FAA exam:

• Take your physical exam early in the month that it is due
• DO NOT take the physical exam if you are “not medically qualified”
• Bring appropriate documentation for any physical, mental, or other health-related concern(s)
• Bring glasses, contact lenses, and/or hearing aids, if required
• Bring a list of all your medication(s) if you are currently taking any
